Business in a Troubled Economy......?

*Be prepared because this post falls under my "Rants" section.  It bothers me so much for some reason that when I got up to feed Reagan this morning it's all I could think about so I had to post on it.*

With in the past few weeks I have had some issues with some people who "run" home businesses.  I mean come on people, I could run your business a million times better than you ever thought possible.  It really is ridiculous that with the economy the way it is people who own a business don't do the things they tell you they are going to do.

I have been VERY blessed that the economy has not effected me or my family.  (Shout out to Crossville Inc. for that!)  Therefore, I do have money to spend on things some times.  So, when I contact you to ORDER something YOU MAKE at your HOME as INCOME it would be nice to #1 actually get my order, #2 hear back from you about how much my order is so I can PAY you, #3 for you to do what you say the first time and not give me 3 or 4 different shipping dates,  #4 not have you cash my check a week before you "ship" my order I STILL haven't received, #5 not have you say "Oh yeah I remember something about that. Let me look again" when I ask you a SECOND time about the order you said you would place for me almost 2 weeks ago, #6 have you actually respond to my SECOND request, and #7 have you tell me you are having issues or something or give me some sort of explanation on why it is you are such a CRAPPY business person.  I understand that people have things come up.  Trust me, with all the surgeries that I have had this year, if ANYBODY understands it's me.  I would just like you to tell me that.  I'm fine with it!  Just don't give me a bunch of crap. 

I think what bothers me the most is that these people make really good products.  I love their stuff and I would buy lots of it if they knew how to run a business.  I just don't understand how they think they can run a business the way they do.  They have such potential to make a lot of money and I feel like they are shooting themselves in the foot.  It's just irritating. 

Needless to say, I won't be ordering anything else unless they wake up and realize what they are doing.  And I know other people who have had the same experiences I had and they won't be ordering anything else either.  Which is sad.  But oh well it's no skin off my back I guess but it sucks for me too just because I like the stuff. 

Moving

I have officially decided this whole house buying thing is way overrated. I am DONE DONE DONE with it ALL!! You hear me! Sick and tired!

We were supposed to close on the new house last week. Well, they called the day before, at 5 and said something was wrong with the appraisal so they had to move it back a week. So today was supposed to be the day. Well.....yesterday came and went with no bad news. Zac even called the "really nice lady" (read in between the quotes) at the bank and she said everything was fine. So he calls me today at lunch and said now they want to wait on us to close on our house before we close on the new one. REALLY? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? They pushed it back AGAIN and now we have 2 closings in one day. TWO IN ONE DAY! I am SO DONE WITH THESE PEOPLE!! All of them!! They need to learn better customer service! Why didn't somebody freakin call us yesterday?!? Well, why would they? That might have been too considerate of them. I mean nobody took off work or came in to work early so they could be at the stupid closing so why would it matter if they called the DAY OF! Once this is all over I'm not sure I want to buy another house EVER.

All I can think of is the infamous speech from Clark Griswold on Christmas Vacation. So......

If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Aliant Bank, our mortgage lender, and our government, right here. I want them brought from their happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want them brought right here, with a big ribbon on their head, and I want to look them straight in the eye and I want to tell 'em what cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, d***less, hopeless, heartless, fat-a**, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey sh** they are! Hallelujah! Holy sh**! Where's the Tylenol?

This is totally random but its just a thought I had. Why is it when a company says "This is the new and improved version of (insert item here)" "We have revamped this line to fit into today's market" it really isn't. You can change the size of something, discontinue a color, and add a new color but you still leave the hunter green and navy blue colors in the line? I'm so confused. Who in their right mind, in today's market, would put hunter green or navy blue tile in their house? I mean, you can't tell me those colors are your best sellers. Maybe in the 80's or early 90s. Heck, I'll even give you mid 90s but now. No ma'am. And if you are even thinking about it, you should contact me first. Or at least turn on HGTV.

What The French, Toast?

Is it just me or is everybody else sick of the cold weather around here? We get one half way decent weekend then snow again! Granted its not real snow but still its too much for me. Don't get me wrong, in July I'm sure I'll post how I'm sick of it being 100 degrees with 100% humidity and be begging for winter. But as of right now I'm sick and tired of winter!! Ugh! We have been below average temperature wise, all winter and I'm done. I want to plant flowers in my hanging baskets and put them on my porch. Maybe put out a few around the bushes so it looks a little more "alive". Not to mention the fact that it will help with curb appeal for suspecting buyers. Which by the way, our viewing on Saturday went good I guess. The showing agent said our house was very nice, very clean and showed very well. However, she didn't say anything about her clients wanting to by it. Oh well, at least we haven't gotten any negative comments. Anyhoo, back to my rant about winter. I'm just sick of it so I'll leave you with these little photos to make you want warm weather as much as me.

Is it just me or is there anybody else who is frustrated over trying to find a FREE blog background? I just can't find ANYTHING I like! I guess I will just have to Photoshop one! Dang it! Why can't there be a free one that is exactly what I want? UGH!!

Jon and Kate Plus.....Enough already!!!

Ok, if I have to hear ANY MORE about Jon and freakin Kate Gosselin and all their freakin kids I am going to scream!! I used to like them. I really did. And I watched the show but now they are out of control. So, NOW Jon says he wants to stop taping the show. Not to save his marriage or keep his kids from hearing all the things the media is saying about their parents but because its just too much. Oh boo! Poor little thing can't handle it. I'll admit that people have been all over them but why couldn't they just say, you know we are done with the show and we need to work on our family and just go away. But NOOOO they didn't do did they, so they get what they deserve if you ask me. They have gotten used to the cushy lifestyle and that seems to be more important to them than keeping their family together. I have been done with them for a while but when I read that story earlier I thought..."Really?!?! Now you want to quit because its hard on YOU?!?! Really?" What about your "wife" and EIGHT children? Huh? You think of them Jon and Kate? Obviously not. So now I am officially DONE! Shut your trap and go on! Nobody wants to hear you whine any more. Thank you.
