It has been some time since I have posted. So sorry! A little busy these days. I am still trying to write thank you cards for all the gifts we have gotten! So sorry if you gave us a gift and I haven't sent a thank you card yet!! I promise I'm working on them a little every day between washing clothes, tending to Reagan and keeping the house semi clean.
Yesterday was Reagan's 2 month birthday I guess you could say. We went to see Dr. Blair today. She weighs 11 lbs and is 22 1/4" long. She is really growing fast. He said she was in the 50% all the way around and was perfectly healthy. she got 4 shots and was not a happy camper. I felt so bad for her. she only cried for a few minutes though and has been fine the rest of the day.
Here are a few things she is doing now: She is trying really hard to hold her head up. She does really good for a few mins then it just flops back down. But it shouldn't be too long before she can hold it up on her own. She smiles a good bit now when you talk to her. My dad can make her do it the most. It is precious! She is a great morning baby! She will smile and giggle at me when she gets up in the morning. Its great! As far as sleeping, she has slept through the night for about a week now. We finally moved her to her crib and she has done great in it. Of course, now that I just said that she won't do it tonight. She doesn't cry much unless something is wrong. But boy when she does cry she screams. We have had a little problem with constipation the last few days and she hasn't been very happy. The dr. told me to give her apple juice 2x a day and it took about 2 days to work. I never thought I would see the day when I was excited when a baby pooped! Ha! She makes the "lizard face" when she is hungry. Here is a video of her doing it:
We think it's funny. These are the things we will embarrass her with then she is older. She really likes the Baby Einstein play mat. She will lay on it for a little while and just smile and giggle at the lights and music. We are headed to the beach next week and are so excited. Anybody taken a 2 month old to the beach before? Any suggestions? I'll post on that with pics when we get back. Until then here are a few pics we have taken lately.

I took a 9 month old to the beach. It may be easier for you since she's not mobile, but we hardly spent any time on the beach because Gavin HATED the sand, wind and waves.
I don't know how long ya'll are going to be down there, but you might want to check out diapers.com and just have a big box of diapers shipped down ahead of time. (you can even have formula shipped too). If you call the place your staying ahead of time, most won't mind.
Okay, I think that's all the wisdom I have! Oh, I think we still have a little sunshade tent that we bought for Gavin, thinking we might actually spend time on the beach. If you want to borrow it.
thanks! I still have a big box of diapers from one of my showers I'm going to take but that is a great idea. We also have a big tent we are going to carry so I think I'll keep her under that. Carter is going too so hopefully he will like the sand and we can all stay one the beach for a while.
We took Will to the beach when he was around 7 weeks old. We spent a lot of time in the condo and on the balcony. We took him down to the beach a few times but for only like 10 minutes each time. I didn't want him to get to hot and fussy. Plus our doc didn't want us putting any sunscreen on him, so that limited us on time he could be in the sun. When we were on the beach with him, he was covered at all times.
Clay and I would alternate watching him in the condo so the other one could hang out on the beach. My parents went with us and were a big help.
I posted about it on my blog in April 2009.
We had fun. The only down side was all the stuff we had to take. But that is life with a baby.
Hope you have a good trip!
I talked to our dr. and he said I could use sunscreen on her now. He said to go to the beach early then late so she isn't out in the hottest part of the day. My parents and sisters are going too so i know we will have a lot of help too. Thanks for the advise!
